Ontario International Airport posts November 2016 Statistics

ONTARIO, Calif. - Jan. 11, 2017 -- Airline passenger traffic at Ontario International Airport (ONT) increased 5.3 percent in November 2016 compared with the same month in 2015. In November 2016, the airport served a total of 377,937 passengers compared with 359,046 in November 2015.
Domestic passenger traffic in November 2016 totaled 368,225, an increase of 5.6 percent over 348,806 in the same month the previous year. International passenger traffic decreased 5.2 percent from 10,240 November 2015 to 9,712 in November 2016.
For the first 11 months of 2016, ONT served 3,877,862, an increase of 0.5 percent from 3,858,950 in the same period in 2015.
The top four airlines in November 2016 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (222,608), American Airlines (67,783), United Airlines (32,989) and Alaska Airlines (31,742).
Air cargo freight handled at ONT increased 21.3 percent from 40,328 tons in November 2015 to 48,928 tons in November 2016. Through the first 11 months of 2016, air cargo freight tons handled jumped 13.4 percent from 424,181 tons handled in the January - November period in 2015 to 480,987 tons in the same period in 2016.
