California Science Center

Visit This Immersive Museum Space While Waiting for Your Flight!

The California Science Center in Downtown Los Angeles is one of the top 10 most popular museums in the country and the busiest west of the Mississippi. Now Ontario International Airport passengers can get a taste of that museum in the Inland Empire, at the California Science Center at ONT inside Terminal 4!

Find Some Inspiration

The museum’s first-ever satellite site offers a tranquil space for families and travelers to find some peace and some inspiration while waiting for flights. California Science Center at ONT also features rotating digital exhibits, so even frequent travelers can expect something when they fly through Southern California’s fastest airport.

Bringing the California Science Center to ONT

ONT staff approached the California Science Center back in 2022 to explore a partnership.  This is ONT’s first science-focused exhibit and first fully immersive space, as we constantly look for ways to upgrade the passenger experience in our terminals. California Science Center also had never created a standalone satellite site before partnering with us to open this space in June 2024. With the addition of this space, museum officials were excited because it offers one more way to fulfill their mission "to stimulate curiosity and inspire science learning in everyone” and to raise awareness of California Science Center in the Inland Empire.  ONT and California Science Center have lots in common, with shared goals to create memorable experiences while making the world more accessible to everyone. We look forward to evolving this space together for years to come!

On Exhibit Now

Few views are more peaceful and awe-inspiring than gazing at a massive aquarium bursting with life. So for California Science Center at ONT’s first exhibit, we're bringing the L.A. museum’s 188,000-gallon Kelp Forest to our passengers!

Dive Into So Cal's Coast

Teams of scuba divers filmed footage inside California Science Center’s aquarium. Now that footage is displayed on six giant screens inside our satellite site in Terminal 4. Grab a seat and watch for glimpses of leopard sharks, moray eels, giant sea bass, rockfish, spiny lobsters, anemones and so much more! Listen, too, and enjoy what it sounds like to be immersed in one of the kelp forests you can find right off the coast of Southern California.
