Ontario International Airport posts February 2017 statistics

ONTARIO, Calif. - March 29, 2017 -- Airline passenger traffic at Ontario International Airport (ONT) increased 5.6 percent in February 2017 compared with the same month in 2016. In February 2017, the airport served a total of 321,267 passengers compared with 304,270 in February 2016 which had an extra day because of leap year.
Domestic passenger traffic in February 2017 totaled 313,789, an increase of 6 percent over 295,948 in the same month the previous year. International passenger traffic decreased from 8,322 in February 2016 to 7,478 in February 2017, a 10.1 percent decline.
For the first two months of 2017, domestic passenger traffic jumped 7.6 percent from 594,214 in 2016 to 639,661 in 2017. International passenger traffic declined 7.9 percent in the two-month period from 22,469 in 2016 to 20,689 in 2017.
Air cargo freight handled increased 9.1 percent from 40,537 tons in February 2016 to 44,234 in February 2017. For the first two months of 2017, air cargo freight handled increased 8.8 percent from 83,658 to 91,050.
